Airbag-type water-stopping method ABS method
It is a method of inflating an airbag and performing a local water cutoff in the pipeline.
The airbag-type water-stopping method (ABS method) involves installing a saddle on the pipeline to be sealed, followed by drilling, and then inserting an airbag at a designated position within the pipeline using a specialized insertion machine. The airbag is inflated to create a localized water stoppage in the pipeline. This method utilizes a simple device that allows for quick localized water stoppage, and it can be used as part of a series of pipeline works rather than as an independent construction project. There are two variations of the method: Method I uses a stopper saddle developed by our company specifically for the ABS method, while Method II uses commercially available saddles with branch valves. It is ideal for reducing construction time and minimizing the area affected by water stoppage. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
